Annual students work in full concentration on their pieces on the special leather sewing machines. Perfectly mastering the various techniques requires a lot of practice. But of course the bow cannot always be tight, there is also time for sociability, humor and breaks for lunch or coffee and tea.
The techniques the students are working on are designed to create garments, which will happen soon! Think details like suçons, various types of seams, piping, zipper inserts, closures, slits and much more. At first these techniques are performed “loose,” on toile (unbleached cotton for samples) and smaller pieces of leather, until the students have mastered them well and the techniques can finally be applied to the garment to be made.
